Mark your calendar for a fun-filled day of handmade gifts, home-baked goodies silent auction, kid’s market and gift basket raffles on at the “Heavenly Holiday Faire” on Saturday, November 4 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Rd. Gardnerville.

2017 marks more than 30 years that the United Methodist Women have handcrafted gifts, decorations and baked goodies for a holiday craft fair to support their local, national and international service projects and missions.

A special feature this year is an exquisite 29-piece, free-standing, Lace-Embroidery Christmas Village with 10 buildings: Town Hall, Toy Store, Church, School, Quilt Shop, Fire Station, Bakery, Cottage, Victorian House, and
Post Office. Additional 19 pieces include: Gazebo, Pond, Benches, Lamp Posts, Fence Sections, Mailbox, Arbor, Hobby Horse, Flag, Bridge, Wishing Well, and trees. The entire Village is valued at more than $1,000 with individual buildings valued from $45 to $65. Raffle tickets for only $2 each are already available for a chance to win this amazing Village. When the tickets are gone, no more will be sold so get your tickets early.

The pieces were made on a Babyloc embroidery machine by church member Jodi Bingham. Several of the buildings contain amazing detail and will be a beautiful addition to your Holidays. Look closely through the windows of the Quilt Shop and Toy Shop! The lucky winner will be selected on Nov. 4th at the “Heavenly Holiday Faire.”

Co-chairs, Sharon Calvert and Ann Santos shared that “The Heavenly Holiday Faire will have something for the whole family: Handcrafted Gifts, Ornaments, Jewelry, Holiday Décor, Home-baked Goodies and a Kid’s Market with Santa.”
