East Fork Firefighters Tackle Quarter-Acre Blaze Near Topaz Ranch Road Tuesday Evening

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — On Tuesday evening, East Fork Fire Protection District crews responded to a quarter-acre fire in the area of Topaz Ranch Road and Eagle Mountain Tuesday evening.

The fire appears to have started from a power pole issue, said East Fork Deputy Chief Dave Fogerson.

Brush 4 with three firefighters was quickly on scene and able to contain the fire while crews responded from Station 7 in the Ranchos responded to assist. A water tender from Station 5 at Topaz responded to supply water to Brush 4.

DCSO assisted with traffic control until NV Energy arrived on scene to examine the power pole.
