GENOA, Nev. — The Centennial Genoa Candy Dance Statue Project committee and The Pink House are hosting a public event to inform the public about the Lillian Virgin Finnegan statue project. It’ll be held at 193 Genoa Lane, Genoa, Saturday, August 19, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Travel back in time at Genoa’s beautiful Pink House, home of Lillian Virgin Finnegan, who originated the Genoa Candy Dance in 1919.

The 100th anniversary Genoa Candy Dance event is in 2019, and to commemorate the historic milestone, a life-size, bronze statue of Lillian will be erected in the Town of Genoa in 2919. The Pink House and the Centennial Genoa Candy Dance Statue Project committee invites the public to come and find out more about this project, including donor recognition opportunities, and view the model of the statue, created by Genoa artist, Debrine Lim Smedley. The Pink House will serve complimentary samples of “Pink House Paloma”, a drink created especially for this event.
