Douglas County School District schools start in 10 days (Aug. 14). We have bus routes for Valley schools for the 2017-18 school year here.

We’re looking at a high of 95 degrees today with scattered thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Temperatures will then hang around in the high 80s through the weekend and for most of next week.

The GE Family Concert Series continues tonight in Minden Park at 6 p.m. with Mumbo Gumbo playing on the gazebo stage.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Undersheriff Paul Howell will be a guest on air with Jon Sanchez of KOH 780 AM from 5:15 to 6 p.m. this evening discussing the new law on body cameras.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
