Good Morning, Carson Valley: July 25

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Crews continue to fight the 3,130-acre Preacher Fire in the southeastern corner of Douglas County.

Four hundred structures are threatened, though none have been lost as of 9 a.m. this morning. We’re updating that story here. The readers have provided an array of stunning photos from the fire as well. You can view those here.

The National Weather Service is forecasting mostly sunny skies with a high of 89 today and a southwest wind of 5 mph this afternoon.

Toddler Storytime at the Minden Library is at 10:30 a.m. this morning. Felt board stories, songs and musical instruments are included. For children ages three and younger. The library is located at 1625 Library Lane in Minden.

The library will be hosting a Lego Build on Tuesdays from through July 25 at the Minden Library. Listen to a story and recreate it using Lego bricks from 3 to 4 p.m. Lego bricks and building materials will be provided by the library. Lego Build Tuesdays are for children ages four and up.

The MindenFest Farmers Market on Esmeralda Avenue in Minden runs from 4 to 8 p.m. this evening.
