GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Cottonwood Events LLC today announced the grand opening of Bridal Marketplace in Gardnerville, the Valley’s one-stop-shop for various event needs. Located at 1495 Hwy 395 in Gardnerville—across from Woodett’s Diner –Bridal Marketplace is the second location of Candlelight & Roses, the award-winning floral shop with an office in Reno. The marketplace also represents various other vendors including McClain’s Mobile DJ for event music, Fig Tree Catering Co. for food, Affordable Ambiance for silk flowers, All Occasion Party Rentals for event equipment, Reverend Margie for wedding officiating, and Cottonwood Cottage for event venue and offsite food & bar catering.
Candlelight & Roses, which is a 1-800-Flowers partner, is a full scale flower shop with daily delivery for all occasions. The company was established in Reno in 2000 and expanded to Gardnerville in July 2017. The shop’s hours of operation are: Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed Sundays). Other partners within Bridal Marketplace are available by appointment.
One year after the opening of Cottonwood Cottage in Genoa, Bridal Marketplace is the second joint venture between former Douglas High School teacher and local real estate investor, Brent Knittel, and repeat “Best of Reno” party and event planner/wedding coordinator, April Haymond.
“With Bridal Marketplace, we handpicked some of the best wedding vendors and put them all under one roof,” said Brent Knittel, co owner of Cottonwood Events. “We also leveraged April’s 20+ years of floral experience with Candlelight & Roses in Reno and expanded it to Gardnerville. With the complementary services under one roof, our goal is to streamline the event planning process for customers so they can put more energy toward enjoying their big day.”
“Daily retail flowers and gifts along with event floral design are adjacent businesses to the events we host at Cottonwood Cottage, and we are very excited about this latest endeavor,” said April Haymond, co-owner of Cottonwood Events.
