The Douglas Center for Hope and Healing recently held its third annual Camp Hope at Round Hill Pines Resort in beautiful Lake Tahoe.

We were honored to host 26 campers ages 7-15 from Douglas County and surrounding communities. The purpose of our camp is to provide a safe and fun environment for children and teens to share their experiences of loss and realize they are not alone.

We also teach them healthy coping skills and ways to honor and memorialize their loved ones. We would like to thank the Douglas County Community Grant and the County Commissioners for their generous grant and donations from the Solace Tree that made Camp Hope possible. We would also like to thank our wonderful volunteers who gave their time and energy and made such meaningful connections with our campers.

We look forward to providing our fourth annual Camp Hope during the summer of 2018.
