GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Genoa Lakes Golf Course went presidential Wednesday as former President Bill Clinton played the course prior to a speech at Lake Tahoe later in the evening. The Tahoe Tribune has the story here.

The weather outside will remain hot with a high near 96 degrees expected this afternoon. Friday, Saturday and Sunday hold the potential for thunderstorms and temperatures should begin to trend back toward the low-90s early next week.

A READing Paws therapy dog will be available at the Minden Library from 10:30 to noon today.  Children of all ages and reading levels are invited to read with a registered therapy dog and the dog’s handler. Each child will spend 15 minutes with a dog. Time slots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Parental permission is required, and permission forms are available at the library.  The library is located at 1625 Library Lane in Minden.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
