GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — The heat wave will keep up for at least another week with temperatures in the mid- to high-90s expected throughout the week in Carson Valley.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning for the region from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today.

Winds could gust up to 35 mph and humidity could drop to as low as 6 percent in some aras.

Outdoor activities that could cause a spark near dry vegetation, such as yard work, target shooting, or campfires, are discouraged. Visit www.livingwithfire.info for preparedness tips.

We will be rounding up the weekend throughout the morning, so keep an eye out for updates.

That’s a full lid for now. Take care out there and have a great day.
