GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Look for a high of 93 degrees today, matched again on Tuesday for Independence Day.

That’ll be about as cool as it gets this week, with a high of 95 expected Friday, 96 Saturday and 94 Sunday.

Overnight lows throughout the week will hang around in the 50s.

Investigators from Nevada Highway Patrol and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are still attempting to identity of the victim in the fatal hit-and-run of a pedestrian at Johnson Lane and Fremont discovered Saturday morning. Anyone with information can call the sheriff’s office at 775-782-6299, referencing case No. 17SO-19545. More on that story can be found here.

We’ll be rounding up the rest of the weekend throughout the morning, so make sure to check back for updates.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
