GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — The National Weather Service has downgraded this weekend’s heat wave by a whole degree, giving us an outlook of 93 degree highs today, Saturday and Sunday (down from 94).

They have also boosted the Independence Day forecast to 92 (up from 89) in Carson Valley. Temperatures should stick around in the same basic range through most of next week with overnight lows in the low 50s.

The Douglas County Public Library presents Storytime at Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park today at 11 a.m. Children of all ages are invited. The Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park is located at 1450 Highway 88 in Minden.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
