Vera Martin

April 10, 1931 – June 14, 2017

Vera Martin, 86 a Minden resident for the past 38 years, died June 14th, 2017 at home. She was born April 10th, 1931 in Woodbury County, Iowa to Ernest & Marie Hopp.

She married Patrick Martin on June 24, 1950 South Sioux City, Nebraska.

Before moving to Minden she lived in Simi Valley, California where she worked in a Jr. High School cafeteria for sixteen years. In Minden she worked for Bently Nevada as a cafeteria worker/coordinator for fourteen years and retired 1996.

Among her survivors are daughter DeAnna Azelton (Minden, NV), two Grandchildren Christel Passink (Minden, NV), Tawny Allred (Reno, NV), five Great-Grandchildren Taylor, Tyler, Dakota Allred & Haley, Sydney Passink.

Cremation will be at Walton’s Chapel of the Chimes. A gravesite memorial service will be held at Eastside Memorial Park on Friday June 30th, at 2pm.
