Good Morning, Carson Valley: June 23

Staff Reports · 1 min read

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — The East Fork Fire Protection District sent the three-man crew of Brush 12 to the Hunter Creek Fire in Reno Thursday under a Nevada Mutual Aid request. The fire had burned 250 acres and was 35 percent contained with no structures threatened as of last report Thursday night.

Look for a high of 93 degrees under clear skies today with temperatures reaching up into the high 90s this weekend, possibly touching 100 degrees on Sunday. The higher temperatures Saturday and Sunday bring with them a 20 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms.

The first Movies in the Park showing of the season is tonight at dusk at Heritage Park in Gardnerville. They’ll be showing “Monster Trucks.” Admission is free.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
