Main Street Gardnerville Seeks Applicants For Board Of Directors

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. — Main Street Gardnerville (MSG) is currently seeking candidates to fill a vacancy. For these particular vacancies, the candidate can be from outside the Main Street Gardnerville District, however residence, ownership or lessee from within the district is always a plus.

The person(s) chosen will fill the vacant term through June 30, 2020. Applications will be accepted until July 14, 2017. Applications will be reviewed and a recommendation of appointment will be made by the Main Street Gardnerville Board of Directors at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 6 pm. All applicants are encouraged to attend if their schedule permits.

The Main Street America™ Program Four-Point Approach is based on simultaneous work in the areas of Organization, Promotion, Design, and District Vitality, with emphasis on grass roots volunteerism and public participation. Main Street Gardnerville is a community based self-help program partnering with various members of the community to revitalize the downtown. Even though Main Street Gardnerville focuses strictly on the downtown district, the program benefits the entire community and surrounding areas.

The Main Street Gardnerville Board of Directors meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Gardnerville Town Hall, 1407 Highway 395. The public is always invited and encouraged to attend. For further information, call 775.782.8027.
