Summer Programming At Carson Valley Boys & Girls Club Begins June 12

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. – The Carson Valley site of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada begins summer programming with Camp Battle Born on Monday, June 12. Camp Battle Born runs through Aug. 4.

Mandatory parent orientation sessions are held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. through the end of June. Club membership is $30 per year. Summer sessions are $40 per week. Scholarships are available for families needing financial assistance and will be discussed at parent orientation.

Activities are planned around weekly themes including football camp with special guest, mad science class, and alpine camp with hiking trip.

Summer field trips begin June 21. Parents must sign their kids up in the office prior to each outing and trips must be paid the week prior to the day of the trip. Field trips range from $10-$35 depending on the event, and each child must wear a Club field trip t-shirt for easy identification as a Club kid. T-shirts are $6.

Arts and crafts are offered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada’s Carson Valley Clubhouse during summer programming beginning Monday, June 12.

Club Wide Field Trips ages 6 and up (Every Wednesday)
June 21st-Galaxy Movie Theater and Lunch at the park (Cars 3)
June 28th-Carson Valley Golf Course and BBQ
July 5th-Roller Kingdom
July 12th-Sand Harbor Beach Trip
July 19th-Wink’s Silver Strike Bowling
July 27th-Wild Island

Teen Field Trips for 6th grade and older (Every Friday)
June 23rd-GSR Laser Tag and Arcade

June 30th-Galaxy Movie Theater
July 7th-Taylor Creek
July 14th-Celebrity Golf Tournament
July 21st-Fly High and Pizza Lunch
July 28th-Sand Harbor Beach Trip
