Swimming & Diving: Douglas Shines In Dual Meets Vs. Carson, Wooster & North Valleys

MINDEN, Nev. — The Douglas High swimming & diving program cruised to a number of dual meet wins at Carson Valley Swim Center over the weekend.

The Lady Tigers picked up commanding wins over Carson (215-92), North Valleys (251-13) and Wooster (250-26). The Douglas boys squad was equally impressive, beating Carson 194-111, topping North Valleys 244-39 and beating Wooster 227-80.

Douglas swim coach Sarah Davenport said the team set 56 personal bests during the meet, highlighted by Ryan Chen’s win in the 200IM, Kevin Smithen’s win in the 200 free and 100 fly, Logan Killion’s PR in the 500 free and 100 fly and Savannah Chappell’s double wins in the 500 free and 100 back.

Douglas next hosts Reno and Reed Friday at 4:30 p.m.
