GE’s Bently Nevada Donates $50,000 To Douglas County Community & Senior Center

Minden, Nev. April 2, 2015 — GE’s Bently Nevada presented the Douglas County Community Services Foundation with a donation of $50,000 at the April 2, 2015 meeting of the Douglas County Commissioners. As a result of the donation, GE will have exclusive naming rights to the Douglas County Community and Senior Center’s Fitness Center.

“At GE, we understand the importance of having a strong community. The Douglas County Community and Senior Center gives people a safe place to come together as a community and participate in a number of activities and events. It’s really a great addition to the Valley,” said Art Eunson, GE’s Bently Nevada General Manager

Chad Cox, Finance Leader for GE’s Bently Nevada and a member of the Business Council of Douglas County, presented the donation to the County Commissioners.

“The community center really represents the on-going efforts of the Valley to provide great community spaces,” Cox said. “GE is proud to be a local business in the Carson Valley, and is looking forward to all the great things this community center will bring.”

The Douglas County Community and Senior Center was built and opened in 2014.

The Douglas County Community Services Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) formed to financially support and enhance Douglas County’s Recreation and Senior Centers, through the funding of capital projects and equipment.
