MINDEN, Nev. — East Fork Fire and Paramedic Districts, Tahoe Douglas Fire and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office have partnered with The Fire Prevention Association of Nevada (FPAN), to present the Sesame Street Fire Safety Workshop, Teaching Fire & Life Safety Behaviors.
This training is being offered for the first time in Northern Nevada. This opportunity is valuable to professionals dedicated to day care, pre-school and early childhood development; providing tools and technics to teach fire and life safety behaviors.
The workshop will focus on Safety Awareness and Fire Prevention themes such as “Get Out & Stay Out”, “Practice Fire Drills,” “Kitchen Safety,” “Using a fire extinguisher,” “Active Shooter,” and “Handling the Hostile Parent.”
Registration period has been extended until March 26th, 2015. Registration forms can be found at www.eastforkfire.org $25 registration fee includes: Educational Materials on Fire Safety (Using 3rd Edition Sesame Street Fire Safety Book) NV Registry recognized Certificate of Participation (4 hours of training), T-shirt and refreshments, attendees must be 16 years or older. If paying at the door, please bring cash or make checks or money order payable to East Fork Fire and Paramedic Districts.
