The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office invites you to attend its annual free Server Training for business owners, managers, clerks and anyone selling or serving alcohol. It will be March 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Carson Valley Inn, 1627 Highway 395 in Minden.
A community panel will discuss current concerns about underage drinking in Douglas County and the importance of the role your business plays; where youth obtain alcohol; and how product placement can effect your bottom line.
The server training portion will cover laws/local codes/policies, legal consequences, responsibilities, ID challenges (fake IDs) and compliance checks.
This event is a collaborative effort between the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the Partnership of Community Resources substance abuse prevention coalition and a grant from the Department of Juvenile Justice Enforcement of Underage Drinking Laws.
