Douglas High Swim & Dive Team Conducts Trash Pick-Up In The Pine Nuts

Rather than taking a day off, or getting right back to practice after its season-opening meet Friday, the Douglas High School Swimming & Diving Program got out in the Pine Nut Mountains off of Johnson Lane Saturday and spent the day picking up trash.

Douglas swimming coach Sarah Davenport said that giving back to the community is a key part of the program and that one of the program’s overall goals this season was to pick up more than 600 pounds of trash and remove it from the Valley’s public lands.
