GARDNERVILLE, Nev., March 5, 2015 – The new owners of Silver Strike Lanes in the Gardnerville Ranchos popped on to the Minden/Gardnerville Community Blog/Forum on Facebook Wednesday morning to inquire about finding crews to help clean up the bowling center, which closed in October 2013.
They went on to state they would be re-opening as “Wink’s Silver Strike Lanes” in the near future, though an exact date has not yet been set.
Baseball returns to Carson Valley this afternoon as Douglas High School hosts Galena at 3:30 p.m. The Douglas varsity softball opens its season on the road at McQueen at 3:45 p.m.
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners meets at 1 p.m. today at the Douglas County Historic Courthouse, 1616 8th Street in Minden.
