Basketball: Douglas Sweeps Damonte Ranch On Senior Night (PHOTOS)

MINDEN, Nev., February 11, 2015 — The Douglas High boys basketball team played some of its best basketball season Tuesday night, pushing ahead to a 68-52 win over Damonte Ranch to clinch the Sierra League’s fourth and final playoff spot.

Junior Zach Kellar had a career night, leading the team with 19 points and four 3-pointers. Seniors Connor Lyons had 15 point and Sam Broersma had 10 in their final games on Randy Green Court.

Alex Tessmann scored seven points, Jace Hart added six, Trey Maurer had four, Tanner Souza had three and Tanner Williams and Tre Jackson each added two in the win.

The Douglas girls basketball team defeated Damonte Ranch 55-36 to improve to 20-5 overall on the season.

Douglas next travels to Carson Friday night, with the girls tipping off at 5:15 p.m. and the boys tipping off at 7 p.m.
