The Douglas girls basketball team picked up an important win over Galena Tuesday night in Reno to set up a showdown for first place at Manogue Friday night. The Lady Tigers are now 11-2 in League play on the year. The boys squad fell to Galena after the Grizzlies used a big second quarter run to vault into the lead for good.
In today’s weather, brought to you by the Fall In Love Festival Bridal Show, we’re looking at a high of 68 with clear skies today. There is a storm rolling in, though, as the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Thursday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. and a high wind watch from Thursday evening to Friday evening.
Southwest gusts up to 55 mph are expected Thursday, increasing to 25 to 45 mph winds with gusts up to 65 Thursday evening and increasing evening further to gusts of 85 mph in wind prone areas near Highway 395 on Friday.
Needless to say, brace your fences and don’t stand under any trees.
