GARDNERVILLE, Nev., December 31, 2014 – A happy New Year’s Eve to you all.

We released the finale of our Growing Up Gardnerville Christmas Special yesterday, set in the middle of Y2K frenzy on New Year’s Eve 1999, which was 15 years ago today.

It took me a while to recover from the 15 years ago thing. I’ll give you a moment too.

Main Street Gardnerville hosts its inaugural New Year’s Eve Candlelight Labyrinth Walk this evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Heritage Park Gardens.

If you go, bundle up – the overnight low is set at 7 degrees. It’s not supposed to get over 24 degrees today either, though we will have clear skies with it. Your forecast for the first day of 2015 won’t get much better, with a high of only 33 degrees. It’ll creep back up into the 40s through the weekend.

We have a couple stories to bring you later in the day, so keep an eye out for those.

That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day and a safe and happy New Year.

  1. “It took me a while to recover from the 15 years ago thing. I’ll give you a moment too.” Classic line. I’m going to have to steal it sometime and quote you, Joey! Hilarious.
