GARDNERVILLE, Nev., December 30, 2014 – Good snowy morning, Carson Valley.
Snow started falling late Monday night, with 1-2 inches in the forecast. An additional 1-2 inches could fall this morning and the daytime high is not expected to top 25 degrees.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective through 10 a.m. today. Watch for slick and icy road conditions for the morning commute.
The clouds should clear out tonight, giving way to clear skies for the remainder of the week. The chilly temperatures should stick around as well, though.
The Douglas County Historical Society is attempting to raise funds to replace the historic flag pole in front of the old high school (now the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center on Highway 395). You can find more information on that here.
