GARDNERVILLE, Nev., November 13, 2014 — First order of business, we will be following up on the structure fire on Helman Drive off of Pinenut Road Wednesday night as soon as we get more details. Initial reports indicated no injuries and everyone was out of the home safely.
The Record-Courier reports Judge Michael Gibbons has applied for a seat on the newly-created appellate court in Nevada. As luck would have it, we had a sit-down scheduled to speak with him later this morning to talk about that very court and its local relevance. We’ll make sure to ask him about the application as well.
The Douglas girls soccer team leaves for Las Vegas today and its state semifinal match is Friday at 6 p.m.
It is 6:40 a.m. as of this writing and drizzling rain outside. In today’s weather, brought to you by Designing With Nature Landscaping, the rain should continue at least for part of the morning before giving way to a high of 57 degrees and mostly sunny skies. That should be the last precipitation we see at least until next Wednesday, though this weekend could be chilly with only a high of 48 in the forecast for Sunday.
Look to Designing With Nature this Holiday Season to install all of your exterior Christmas decorations. They also handle commercial and residential snow removal. Call 775-782-4999 for more information.
There isn’t a ton on the calendar for today, but we plan to address some structural issues and improvements on the site. We’ll let you know if anything major happens.
That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day.
