Football: Carson cruises past Douglas 49-6

Staff Reports

CARSON CITY, Nev. — The Carson football team scored on its first possession and never looked back Friday night, rolling to a 49-6 win over rival Douglas.

Douglas got a big kickoff return from Nick Abreu to open the game but fumbled on its first play from scrimmage.

Carson drove down the field from there to start the route.

The Tigers got on the board late in the game on a short touchdown pass from Bryce James to Taran Grove, but the two-point attempt failed.

Douglas will move on to next week’s regional playoffs at Reed on Nov. 14 at 7 pm.
