Girls Soccer: Douglas Advances To Semifinals With 4-1 Win Over McQueen

MINDEN, Nev. — The Douglas girls soccer team got on the board six minutes in and never looked back Tuesday evening, beating McQueen 4-1 in the first round of the Northern Division I Regional Playoffs.

Douglas will face Spanish Springs Thursday at 5 p.m. at Carson High School in the regional semifinals.

Lexi Von Schottenstein got Douglas on the board with a goal in the sixth minute as the Lady Tigers controlled possession over the first half.

Alissa Holley scored in the 25th minute and McKenna Kynett added a pair of goals in the second half. McQueen’s goal came on a penalty kick in the 59th minute.
