Free Spaghetti Lunch For Veterans And Military Nov. 11 At Carson Valley Inn

MINDEN, Nev. — Carson Valley Inn is serving a Free Spaghetti Lunch for all Veterans and Active Military – plus one guest – on Veteran’s Day, Tuesday, November 11. The event will be held in the Valley Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.   Veterans and active military personnel simply present your military ID for entrance, and lunch for you and your guest is on the Carson Valley Inn!  There will be a Veteran’s Day colors presentation, the National Anthem and an invocation at 11 a.m.


This is the fourth year for the Carson Valley Inn’s free Veterans Day Spaghetti Lunch which has become a reunion of sorts. The bond of service to our country brings together hundreds of neighbors and community residents who otherwise wouldn’t have a chance to meet, but who all have commonality in their patriotism. Vietnam Veteran and CVI Entertainment Manager Stew Stewart coordinates the event and Stew personally greets almost every attendee whether current, former or family of military.


The Carson Valley Inn ( is located on US Hwy 395 in Minden, NV near the start of State Hwy 88, twenty minutes from Lake Tahoe’s south shore and 45 minutes south of Reno.  The property includes a casino, sports and race book, 149-room hotel, 74-room motor lodge, 59-site RV Park, TJ’s Corral Outdoor Concert and Event Center and a convenience store with Shell gas and diesel fuel.  There are also banquet and meeting rooms and services plus three dining facilities; CV Steak, the Inn’s Nevada-style steakhouse featuring steaks, seafood, pasta dishes and more; Katie’s, for 24- hour dining choices and Job’s Perk for coffee drinks, pastries and sundries.
