MINDEN, Nev. – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Youth Services Division participated in a community service project during their Fall G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) Program.
Deputy Teresa Duffy, 7th grade teachers Mrs. C-R, Mrs. Falconieri & Mrs. Campbell-Parr and all the 2014 7th grade, Pau Wa Lu G.R.E.A.T students created hand-made cards for Military Service men and women to thank them for their service to our country. The kids took advantage of this opportunity to participate and give thanks to our soldiers for their dedication, service and sacrifice. Approximately 200 cards will be turned over to the Gold Star Moms and sent off to the brave men and women of the United States Military.
