The Douglas High boys basketball team fell at Reed Tuesday night, losing 60-49 in a Northern Division I game in Sparks.
Reed carried a 14-12 lead out of the first quarter and then stretched out a 12-4 run in the second quarter to take control of the game.
The Raiders continued to build their lead in the third, outscoring Douglas 21-15, before holding off a charge from the Tigers in the fourth.
James Herrick scored 24 points to lead the team while Pat Johnson had nine. Austin Evans scored six points, AJ Pfaffenberger and Alex Tessmann each had three and Michael Johnson and Sam Broersma each had two points.
Herrick grabbed 12 rebounds in the loss while Pfaffenberger had three assists and Pat Johnson swiped three steals.
