Chilly morning temperatures will give way to a high of 56 this afternoon. It’s a similar forecast for much of the rest of the week, getting up into the 60s later in the week. We’re looking at some wind storms on Thursday and possibly some rain or snow early next week.
On the site today, you’ll find a story on Douglas grad Nick Cohee, who is opening his professional ski season in a few weeks. He’s on the outside looking in when it comes to this year’s Olympics, but with a renewed focus and a healthy knee, he is in line for a strong year.
You can follow him on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/nickcohee
Today we’ll be posting a story about Valley resident and photographer/videographer Scott Rokis, who is in the Sea of Cortez this week helping to film a documentary on a man attempting to swim the 80-mile span of the Sea of Cortez crossing.
We have a couple other stories in line, including a feature on a unique business just recently opened in the Valley. For anyone opening a business, or who has just recently opened a business, we gladly accept press releases and photos. Just send us the who, what, when, where and why — maybe include some business hours and contact info, and we’ll call it good.
The Douglas girls soccer team advanced to the regional semifinals with a 3-0 win over McQueen Monday night. They will take on Galena at Damonte Ranch Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
That’s a full lid for this morning. Take care out there and have a great day!
