The burn season opens this Saturday, October 19 and will run through December 15. The goal for residential burning is fuels reduction, only natural vegetation is allowed.
Prior to burning, individuals must call the number at the bottom of the permit. They will get a recording stating whether or not it is a permissible burn day and what the permissible burn hours are for that day.
They have to call the burn line each day they wish to burn.
Permits will be available at all East Fork fire stations, they are in white boxes on the outsides of the stations, and the boxes are labeled. There are also available at the Minden Inn and can be downloaded from the East Fork Fire website or printed by clicking on the document below:
