Polka Dots hosts grand opening, sister store Fresh Ideas celebrates 19 years

Gardnerville, NV   (October 11, 2013) – Downtown Gardnerville’s newest boutique, Polka Dots  is hosting its grand opening with a week-long party, beginning Monday, October  14th offering the first 50 shoppers a sweet treat.  Chocolate tea will be served through the  week and shoppers will have the opportunity to register for a $100 candy gift  basket.  The grand opening will  conclude Saturday, October 19th, the same day its sister store, Fresh  Ideas celebrates its 19th anniversary with its annual birthday  celebration featuring champagne and savory snacks.

Boutique owner Jodi Branson opened Fresh Ideas in 1994  and is pleased with the warm reception the Carson Valley has given her latest  venture: “The town has really embraced Polka Dots. People are excited for a new  place to shop with unique sweets and retail and they appreciate our made in  America inventory.”  She continued,  “I am looking forward to the grand opening. It’s fun to see the reactions when  shoppers come in for the first time and experience the vivid atmosphere and  one-of-a-kind gifts.  It will be a  special end to the week with our 19th anniversary celebration at  Fresh Ideas.”

Known for their “greets and sweets,” Polka Dots is a  traditional candy and gift store featuring unique greeting cards, gifts,  accessories, children’s toys and a scrumptious selection of distinctive treats,  including truffles, caramel apples and petit-fours in addition to its selection  of more than 50 candy varieties.

Polka Dots and Fresh Ideas are located in the Main Street  Gardnerville shopping district at 1455 Highway 395 N.  The boutiques are open Monday – Saturday  at 10:00 am.  For more information  call (775) 782-4094.
