The Lettermen perform Tuesday and Wednesday, October 22 and 23 in the Valley Ballroom at the Carson Valley Inn. Doors open 6:15 p.m. and the show starts 7:00 p.m. both nights. Tickets are $29.99 for either night and they may be purchased at the Carson Valley Inn hotel desk or call 775-783-6606.
Stew Stewart, Entertainment Director for the Carson Valley Inn, indicated, “Our audiences really love the reach-out-and-touch-’em feel in the Valley Ballroom. To put it in October perspective, the farthest seat from the front of the stage is closer than the distance between home plate and the pitcher’s mound during a Baseball Playoff game!”
The Lettermen were signed to Capitol records in the summer of 1961 and their hits have been numerous including Goin’ Out Of My Head/Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Hurt So Bad, Theme From “A Summer Place”, The Way You Look Tonight, When I Fall In Love, Graduation Day, Shangri-La and many more that have shaped the nostalgia years of many a baby boomer. Among 32 consecutive albums which charted in the Top 100 in the United States, four were certified gold.
Founding member Tony Butala is proud of the fact his group has been part of Americana for fifty years. Tony promises, “as long as there is a Lettermen group, they will be singing good, quality, and positive harmony music that the whole family can enjoy.”
