The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Eastern Sierra, Northeast California and Western Nevada through much of the week.
A battery of thunderstorms and high winds are in the forecast for the area, starting with showers developing over the Sierra Sunday night. Stronger storms in the area may produce heavy rain, hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph.
A chance of thunderstorms is expected through Wednesday with heavy rains, resulting in the potential for a few severe storms and flash flooding.
Temps will be at their highest on Monday, hovering in the low 90s before tapering off to the low 80s through Friday.
We’ll be keeping our eyes open throughout the week and posting any updates here.
