Good Morning, Carson Valley!

by Joey Crandall, joey@carsonvalleytimes.com

My apologies for being up a bit late today. Had an early morning meeting.

Well, as we reported yesterday, the Douglas High band resumed practice yesterday morning with new members going through marching drills. The full band will be on site starting Thursday at 8 a.m. It’s a pretty remarkable story of a group of kids making the best of a tough situation. They certainly have a fan here.

The Lampe Park Farmers Market is going on this morning. I’ve got a story coming in about what the Carson Valley Visitor’s Authority has been up to for the past three or four months, and I’ll be spending much of the day setting stories for the rest of this week and early next week.

We’re looking at mostly sunny skies today with a high of 84. Look for isolated thunderstorms Thursday and Friday.
