Temps continue to cool slightly, with today’s high set at 93 in the Valley.
However, the National Weather Service is forecasting continued breezy (and sometimes gusty) conditions, which will further complicate the growing Bison Fire.
In the middle of the Valley, the winds should be 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. The winds will be stronger at the location of the fire — up to 20-30 mph this afternoon with gusts as high as 35.
Daytime highs in Carson Valley will hover in the low 90s for most of the next week before dropping back into the 80s on Thursday and Friday. The good news is that it does appear the heat wave, and associated thunderstorms, are past us for the time being.
