The heavy rain forecasted for yesterday never really materialized in the Valley, but the lightning wreaked some havoc in the surrounding hills, as evidenced by the fire activity.
Today, we’ll finally start to see temps sink down below 100, although not by much. Expect a high 96, but that is going to happen relatively early as the thunderstorms and isolated showers are expected back sometime between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
This has been difficult in establishing a daily weather graphic because it’s sunny and then it is not. But that is Nevada for you.
National Weather Service is also saying some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. Overnight low of 61 is expected and daytime highs will slide into the low to mid 90s through at least next Wednesday.
