The heat wave hits its peak these next two days, with temps reaching somewhere over 100 across most of Northern Nevada.
Overnight lows hit their high tonight, somewhere near 70 degrees, while daytime highs should slowly begin to decline Wednesday and continuing on into the weekend.
Rain and thunderstorms could crop up for today, Tuesday and Wednesday in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued heat advisory effective through Wednesday afternoon, saying that the area should expect potentially record-breaking temperatures each day until then. It is 9 a.m. as of this writing and already 85 degrees outside.
